Originally
introduced by Tudor Mint in 2000, the Land of the Dragons collections
have gone from strength to strength. These highly detailed and intricate
models bring the world of mythology and magic to life - a world
of Dragons.
Land of the Dragons
Millions of years ago, as continents drifted
there came together the Land of the Dragons. The land was divided
into different mythylogical regions: The Woodland, The Desert,
The land of Ice, The land of Mountains, The land of Fire, The
land of Glaciers and the Land of Snow. Each region was populated
by a group of Dragons each different from each other.
The
Woodland
The woodland is a rich and fertile land, a
temperate place, beneath whose lush green canopy the wise and
gentle Woodland folk lead a peaceful and fulfilling exsistence
in total harmony with each other and their surroundings. The Land
is also populated by the Woodland Dragons, tree dwelling dragons
chameleon like in their appearance, but peaceful in nature as
long as thay are not challenged.

The
Desert
A land that is an
ocean of sand where orange and gold hues match the blistering
heat of the midday sun. Whenever the wind blows the grains of
sand are on the move and, like the shifting sands themselves,
the inhabitants of the desert are seldom still but stride out
across the wilderness in search of another oasis and the next
adventure. The Dragons of these lands mirror the reds, golds and
yellows of this silent wilderness. Not known to attack without
provocation these dragons are always vigilant and wary of newcomers.

The
Land of Ice
Bitterly cold and lashed by vicious winds,
the Land of Ice is shrouded in ice so thick that only the highest
mountain peaks are visible above it. Little grows here; snowdrifts
and crevasses make travel difficult, and those who live in this
inhospitable place must be fierce hunters if life is to be sustained.
The Ice Dragons have an aloof countenance that well reflects the
chill of their blue terrain.

The
Land of Mountains
The grandeur of the Mountain land evokes the
drama of its creation when continents collided forcing sheets
of rock to buckle and fold to form the Mountain ranges. A symbol
of eternity the mountains are the province of warriors charged
with the preservation of the Land of the Dragons. These Dragons
are fearless and will fight to the death if necessary to keep
the dark powers of the underworld at bay.

The
land of Fire
This land of flames and infernos is found
deep in the earth's core. Sparks let loose by the fires of middle
earth light up this unforgiving world and bounce speckles of light
off the mystical crystals that lie embedded in the walls of this
mysterious world. The Fire Dragons, with their unyielding ferrocity,
guard the crystals from the dark powers that lurk in this subterranian
land.

The
Land of Snow
On the landmass furthest North
there lies the Land of Snow. A place of brilliance and light where
snowblindness effects all visitors and only those who inhabit
this silent, white world can master its mystical terrain. Snow
Dragons make their lairs in craggy country where they curl up
in the snow and are easily mistaken for a pile of rocks by unsuspecting
travellers. Incredibly stealthy, they stalk or ambush their prey,
striking like lightening with an attack from which there is little
chance of escape.

The
Land of Glaciers
An Isolated River of Ice,
this vast, inhospitable and seemingly uninhabitable wasteland
is the territory of the mighty Glacier Dragon. More fierce than
even their Ice Dragon cousins, they are Guardians of the treasures
hidden deep within the great glacier.
